Greg Keenan, M.D.
Gregory Keenan, M.D. is the Chief Medical Officer at Jasper Therapeutics. Dr. Keenan brings extensive global experience in early- and late-phase development and commercialization of small molecules, biologics, and gene therapies, including multiple launches across a broad array of disease areas within both large pharma and small biotech organizations. He is widely recognized for his success in building and leading highly productive teams that deliver exceptional results. Most recently, Dr. Keenan was Chief Medical Officer at Aurinia Pharma a profitable biotech company where he led the clinical development and medical support for Lupkynis, a second-generation CNI and the development of Aritinercept, a BAFF/APRIL receptor fusion protein. Prior to joining Aurinia, he was Chief Medical Officer at ValenzaBio, a privately held early-stage biotech company where he oversaw clinical development of three biologic programs in the immunology and inflammatory disease areas. Previously, Dr. Keenan held roles of increasing accountability at a number of small biotech companies. Earlier, he held progressive leadership positions at AstraZeneca, Medimmune, Human Genome Sciences, and Centocor/Johnson and Johnson. He holds an M.D. from Albany Medical College in NY and a B.A. from Colby College in Waterville, ME. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at LA County/University of Southern California Medical Center followed by fellowships in rheumatology and pediatric rheumatology at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He is Board certified in adult and pediatric rheumatology.
